Trade FAQ
How trading with real USDC works here. The mark, the breaker, liquidation and orders work as in Practice: see the main FAQ. What can go wrong: the risks.
Trade: real USDC
What it is. The same synthetic markets as Practice, traded with USDC instead of points: you deposit USDC on Solana from your wallet, open longs and shorts against the house on our on-chain mark, and withdraw back to the same wallet. It is a small experiment: we hold the USDC (custodial), every limit is small, and the owner lists each market after its checks (up to 5 at launch, 8 at most for now).
Signing in. A Trade account is a wallet: you sign a free message (no transaction, no permission to move anything) and the account is linked to that wallet. It is a separate account from Practice. A session lasts 7 days and slides while you use it; when it ends, the app says so and you sign the message again: nothing is lost, your balance and positions stay with the account.
Deposits
Press Deposit on Account (or Pay from wallet on the ticket). Your first deposit asks you to accept the risks once for your wallet. The app builds one USDC transfer with a reference that ties it to your account; your wallet signs and sends it, and pays the network fee (about 0.000005 SOL, so keep a little SOL). It is credited once Solana finalizes it, usually under a minute. Deposit only from the wallet you signed in with, only with the button, and never by sending USDC to an address by hand.
A wallet that has never held USDC has no USDC account yet: buy USDC in the wallet or withdraw some from an exchange on the Solana network first (that creates the account), then deposit. Deposits are 1 USDC or more and, at launch, capped at 250 USDC per account in total, counted net of your withdrawals (2,500 over all accounts); the account panel shows how much you have used, and the deposit dialog never asks for more than fits. A transfer that lands beyond the cap anyway is credited, but the part over the cap is withdraw-only: you can withdraw it, never use it as margin. If the operator sets a withdrawal limit to 0, withdrawals are frozen until it reopens them; your balance stays yours.
Trading
Up to 10x, long or short where the market allows it, with positions capped at about 100 USDC of notional at launch (and by pool depth). Margin comes from your free USDC. A market can become close-only (no new positions; open ones can still close) or be delisted under the delisting rule; the ticket and the market card say so.
Wins, losses and queued claims
Your margin comes back at close, less any loss. A loss goes into the loss pool; a win is a claim on that pool, after a haircut on small moves and the profit ramp. It is paid at close when the pool holds it; when it does not, the claim is queued and paid pro rata as new losses come in. Your account shows queued claims and the pool's net equity.
Withdrawals
Only to the wallet you signed in with: 1 to 100 USDC each, 250 per account per UTC day at launch, one at a time. Your wallet signs a message (free) naming the amount; then the house has to sign: in this phase every withdrawal is sent by the house's signer, which pays the fee. The status list shows each one:
- Requested: waiting for the signer; once it picks the row up it has 10 minutes to send it.
- Queued: past the day's overall limit (sent in order after 00:00 UTC), your wallet has no USDC account and the house has opened its daily maximum of new ones (after 00:00 UTC, or once your wallet has one), or withdrawals are paused. A queued request never expires.
- Needs approval: above the automatic limit; an operator approves it first.
- Sent, then Confirmed with a Solana Explorer link; or Failed, with the reason, and the amount back in your free balance (for example when it was not sent within 10 minutes of being picked up).
Auto-withdraw at close is a setting in your browser: while the page is open with your wallet connected, it asks to withdraw what each close and each paid claim frees. Your wallet still signs each one.
